Observation point Meise

It never gets really steep, but it still takes a while to get to the top. For cycling enthusiasts, the climb of the Fluxenberg stretches over 600 metres, with 26 vertical metres and with an average gradient of 4.6%. But once you reach the top, you forget about your tired legs as you look out over the hilly landscape of the Brabant Kouters. Enjoy views of the fields and forests and, to the south, catch a glimpse of the Brussels skyline. In clear weather, you can even recognise the Atomium, the domes of the Palace of Justice, the King Baudouin Stadium and the Basilica of Koekelberg. And that angular tower, far to the north? Saint Rumbold’s Tower in Mechelen.
