Bulskampveld Castle

Arrow-straight forest avenues guide you through the Bulskampveld provincial domain to the castle of the same name. The castle park is a delightful spot of greenery, with lawns, a pond and an arboretum with about 140 different species of trees. The castle dates from 1893, but its foundations stand on those of a much older castle. There is a visitors’ centre where you can find out all you need to know about Bulskampveld Landscape Park and where there is also a fun exhibition running at all times. Stroll through the castle’s walled kitchen garden; it has one of the largest plant and herb collections in Flanders. Near the garden, injured birds and wild animals can catch their breath at the Beernem Bird Sanctuary.
