Cycling through the Heathland

One moment you are cycling through vast pine forests, the next through open heathland that, at the end of the summer, transforms into a purple canvas. Cycling through the Heathland takes you right through the nature of Hoge Kempen National Park, an impressive heathland area of no less than 700 hectares. The highlight? A nearly 300-metre-long wooden bicycle bridge that lets you admire nature from above. The beams supporting the bridge and the bridge walls are made of Limburg pine and are a nod to the region’s mining past.
